The school’s curriculum is developed based on the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide”, the organization’s purpose and the school’s mission. With the goal of being “children-oriented”, the curriculum is in line with parental and society needs, and emphasizes on the cultivation of children’s knowledge, skills, and attitude.
Teachers utilize the “language all-around” environmental design concept and adopt the project-based pedagogy to strengthen children’s learning motivation, thus enhancing children’s aesthetic, cultural, physical, and intellectual development. Also, the school actively promotes the school-based curriculum that emphasizes “learn by doing”. It provides opportunities for joint discussion, exploration, appreciation, and learning, encourages children to imagine, elaborate, practice, communicate, express their own opinions, thoughts, and feelings etc., which lays a good foundation for active learning. The school attaches equal importance to spiritual education of the Bible. We hold morning assemblies and pray with children, which promote children’s physical, mental, and spiritual health.
The school uses photos, observational analysis, and comprehensive reports to demonstrate the learning outcomes of children, as well as systematically collects children’s works to record their developmental journeys. Parents can understand the growth of their children through the “Children Developmental Journeys Portfolio”, helping children to achieve all-round development.
Besides, the school has set up the “learning activity sharing” diary, which enables parents to understand their children’s learning condition at school. The diary does not only contain photos of school activities but also learned content of that day, together with comprehensive activities that children need to complete at home.
